2009 NFL Draft...

The 2009 NFL Draft is this coming Saturday and Sunday April 24-25. The Saints first pick is the #14 overall pick and most analysts have narrowed it down to 3 players the Saints are most likey to pick. Cornerback Malcom Jenkings from Ohio State (who I hope they pic), Running Back Chris "Beenie" Wells from Ohio State, or Linebacker Brian Cushing from Southern California (USC). Jenkins would be my choice, although trading the #14 spot and letting someone else pick and hopefully still picking up Cushing would be a great move also. This would also give the saints either a 2nd or
3rd round pick for the move down and they could pick up a bruiser running back with that pick. They are looking at Liberty Running Back Rashad Jennings, and he could be available if they pick up that 2nd or 3rd round pick. Beacause of previous trades for Jeremy Shockey and Jonathan Vilma the Saints are without a 2nd and 3rd round pick this year, which is another reason to trade down in position. An outside contender for the pick is also Cornerback Vontae Davis of Illinois. Well anyway, those are my thoughts, lets see how it turns out...
